Episode 3 of the Me Time Podcast is now up. This weeks guest is your own devilishly handsome forum moderator Mr. Tim Tate. Check it out www.danrezler.com/podcast. If you'd like to suggest guests, ask questions, or comment you should do it here. I'm still new to the whole podcast thing, but we've made some progress this week with higher quality audio and a longer podcast so now you can hear those airplanes flying over head and motorcycles driving by with the utmost clarity. Yes, I believe that art requires participation, no matter what the form. Art doesn't serve its purpose unless it has some sort of participation, whether it emotional, mental, or physical. I think the point of art is to force people to exercise their emotional, mental, or physical selves in ways that are profound or interesting that those facets of ourselves don't usually feel. I disagree that art is a passive thing, because that's pretty much just my definition.
Also, for The Walking Dead, you don't buy each episode separately, you buy a season pass. So, you buy the entire game, and then each episode is released and given to you automatically. So it's not necessarily the episodic gaming, like the Half-Life 2 episodes were.
Oh, also, my favorite example of unconventional storytelling in video games is Bastion, which is an incredibly beautiful game, even if the gameplay is not very interesting. Even though the majority of the characters are mute (though one is given a voice in a very short portion at the end), it managed to get me to empathize with all the characters and pretty much made me near tears at the end.

Why are you getting your questions from? Twitter or the likes?

TheMirageChild - I'll be sure to add Bastion to my "To Play" list. It's going right under The Walking Dead. I'll tell you what I think when I play it.
RandomStuff - I try and get a few good questions from anywhere I get them. If you ask a question or suggest a topic on Twitter/Tumblr/or here in the Podcast sub forum I will see it, and if it's interesting we'll talk about it.

The reason why I ask is because I could not find anywhere here saying beforehand who the next guest would be, and the topic. For example I think that asking Tim his views of international law to be his strong suit. If you could post a new thread in the podcast sub forum a day before solely for questions, I would be very very happy. And being as it would mainly for directed questions, you could keep posting in it for each podcast. Still, I enjoyed it I might have asked him on the general productivity of game consumers and the economic impact that gaming can have. Or perhaps his thoughts on 'hardcore gaming.'

I've petitioned to be Dan's raincheck guest. So if he ever has cancellations, I've offered my services. I can't speak, or type for that matter, for Dan, but he has to run out of guests and topics eventually. When that happens, I'll be there to answer stuff!
