Me Time All Time!
As I said in the video part of what I'd like to do with this month long project is greatly increase the amount of interaction with you all. I have a number of projects planned that I think will have some interesting responses, but to begin with I think it's important that we all get to know each other a bit. Of course there is already a generic introductions thread in the general board so for this I wanted to try something a bit different. I want to try and skip the boring small talk phase of taking to people and jump strait to the heart of things. After all we're busy internet people with no time to remark on the weather.
The way this is going to work is each person will begin with their name (First name only), then answer the question of the person that came before them, then ask a pertinent question of their own. When coming up with the question you'd like to ask try and think of something that requires a story to answer rather than a simple one sentence answer.
For the first person to reply the question will be "What is the most vivid memory you have of your early childhood, and why do you think that memory above all others is so strong?" After you've answered the question don't forget to ask a new question of your own for the next person.
tl:dr - Say name, Answer Question, Ask Question

Hey! My name is Evan.
I'm choosing two specific memories because "childhood" is a very broad term!
The one that happened chronologically first was when I was really young, about a year to four years old. I don't have any real memories of me being a baby, but this one sticks out, it's only a few second long memory, but I have a vivid memory of me being in my crib as a kid. It was dark, and I distinctly remember being a little scared. The crib was the type with bars and stuff. I don't really know why this one is so vivid (and for all I know, it could be a fake memory), but it was pretty scary at the time!
Second one is a vivid visualization I had as a kid of my brother describing his day at school on the day of 9/11. I was like 6, but it was super vivid to me and I recall not really knowing how to react.
Okay, choosing a less difficult question for this one: What is one piece of media (like, Doctor Who or something) you really enjoy, and what, in your eyes, puts it above all others?

My name is Alejandro and my favourite TV shows (l am aware that 'media' involves much more, but all l do is watch TV shows, never movies or 'others') currently are Hannibal, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Doctor Who, Homeland and Flashforward (despite the fact that it was cancelled before hand) mainly because these shows have a high 'Gasp Factor' which is a thing that l just came up with, but don't think l'm the first one to; said factor means that at some point in the show it will make you say something close to "WOW, l did not see that coming in a million years" that for me is the best thing that a TV show can have. Question: Have you ever had a non-reciprocal romantic adoration and what did you do about it?

My name is Julia and I have once had a non-reciprocated romantic adoration. After realizing I liked him and he didn't like me back I got to know him better and realized I just liked him as a friend and I'm still good friends with him now. Question: What makes a day great to you?

Hello! My name is Alex.
I think what make a day awesome for me is being around friends. When your around friends and having fun all your problems seem to go away. Another thing that makes my day is meeting super awesome complete strangers that are nice and into the same thing as you (for example youtube)
Question: What way of transportation do you like best and why?

Hey, my name is Mairead. It's pronounced like Parade but with an m instead of a p, thus my username. My favorite form of transportation is trains. The slight side to side motion lulls me, it is considerably faster than driving with much less traffic, and you can walk around in transit. The first time I ever really went on a train ride was going to NYC for a weekend. I'd been on the metro and such before, but amtrak was a whole different deal. I think my first ride being connected to something out of the ordinary definitely helped solidify my favoritism. EDIT: Haha Charlotte beat me to it (great minds think alike), so I'll answer hers as well. I would live in Paris. I've spent minimal amounts of time there, but I absolutely love the culture and I've studied the language intensively, plus I have some friends about an hour away I'd live there starting now for about the next year-- I'm probably taking a gap year due to some health situations so I might as well put it to good use. I know this isn't part of the game, but I wanted to respond to one of the previous posts. Evan- I've lived near DC my whole life. I was in kindergarten on 9/11 and the planes flew directly over my school (which was about 2 miles away from the pentagon). I cannot remember the noise or much of what transpired that day, except that I was one of two children in the whole grade left at the end of the day because the school wanted us to stay and my mother kept their wishes. After dismissal I walked home with my brother who was in 4th grade. It's weird, but I never really learned what happened on 9/11, it was sort of just in my brain. I remember one day being in 4th grade and we were talking about the attack and I realized that I'd never really been told what exactly transpired, but I knew the whole story anyway. It was such an important event when I was just starting to be able to remember things that I don't think I will be able to ever imagine life sans 9/11. My question- What is the hardest thing you've ever had to overcome and why was it the most difficult with which to deal? (Also, I posted a video today with 50 facts about me, so if you want to get to know me a bit better, feel free to head over here[a href="[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBTne_anGO0]"][http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBTne_anGO0][/a] and watch it).

Hello, My name is Dayne!
The list of places I want to live is pretty long. I hate the idea of being a tourist, I would much rather spend time in a place and live there vs visit, even if is it only for a month or two. If I was to pick one for right now, I would love to live in Washington D.C. I am kind of a history nut and have recently fallen hard for Revolutionary and post Revolutionary America. I have visit D.C. before and it was beautiful and I just want more time to see the little things that make it special. Also the weather is nicer than where I live and but not lacking in seasons.
Question: What was the most recent thing you read, book, magazine, blog post, why were you reading it, and was there anything cool you took away from it?

Hey all I'm just quickly jumping in to say that you guys are asking some really amazing questions and getting some really good answers. (I should do a video on the best kind of transportation) Thanks for getting involved, I've loved reading them so far. Sorry to interrupt, please continue being rad.

Hi! My name is Hero.
I actually just met some cousins of mine over the weekend who live in DC.
I was just now reading some Roger Ebert movie reviews, mostly because I'm smug about him liking Spirited Away. He and I share a similar appreciation for pensive movies and world creation. I like that he really seems to see movies as an art form to be appreciated, not the creation of a director and actors to be trashed.
For my question, pretend you believe in past lives (you may believe in them anyway). What do you think you were in a past life and why? Give two examples.

Hi, My name is Marco.
I don't know if I believe in past lives, but once I had a very mind bogging experience. I went to a terapist that was supposed to make me go to a past live. So he 'did'. I was kind under hypnose and I started seeing a boat. I was feeling extremely lonely, and then, I saw myself on the middle of the ocean, I started crying, and then I saw myself dead on some rocks. After that I was sitting in front of a church and the therapist asked me to look at myself, I did, and I was kinda 'dead' (aka. all bones lol). After that I saw like a woman getting out of the church and I started crying. That was really sad. I don't think that was true, I was likely creating everything in my mind, I was having a very sad life in a basement after being booted from home by my mother, hahaha.
Question: What is the biggest mistake you ever made and still regret about it?

Hi my name is Marissa (see username)
The biggest mistake I have made hmmmm....
I have made so many mistakes in the 19 years that I have been on this earth. The mistake that I regret to this day is my education. I was lazy, and I paid for it, and I am still paying for it (literally). Throughout my high school career I didn't do my homework and I didn't study. I graduated but only just. My freshman year of college I didn't care for academics but for the college life. I hung out with my friends the day before a test. I procrastinated on essays I ended up turning in late and now here I am, paying off student loans and working an entry level job that I hate. This is the mistake I regret most.
My advice... Take your schooling, no matter how crappy the teachers or how fun your friends are. take it seriously.
Question... Have you ever felt truly heartbroken? Whether it be from a breakup or news you just couldn't bear. What made it different from the times you just felt sad.

Hi, I'm Derek!
Biggest regret is a tough one. I can't say that I regret anything I've done in life. Spending a decade running a Boy Scout camp and hiding my sexuality was difficult, but it made me who I am today and so I don't regret that decision. I think what I regret is being too timid when approaching new projects. I have some great ideas in mind for a business I want to create and run as my career, but I have been hesitant to jump in and do it, which I regret.
For the next person: what is one hobby you love but hate to admit to other people?

Hi my name is Shay,
I really love watching youtube videos, I consider it to be a very time consuming hobby. I don't like sharing that with other people because they look at me like I'm some hermit who does nothing but veg out and go on the "Internet" all day.
